What the price includes. The standard for institution cleaning.

  • Group rooms, classrooms and shared areas with tables, chairs, window sills and floors

The dirt in an institution sits low. Sand from the playground gathers in the cloakroom, fingerprints sit a metre and a half up the glass, and the same table is used for painting in the morning and for lunch an hour later. In a care home it’s the handrails, door handles and bathrooms that get touched the most over a day.

How does cleaning an institution work?

We place the visits outside opening hours and write the plan room by room, so you can see what gets done at every visit. The frequency is on every line. Floor care, high surfaces and interior glass wait for closing days, staff development days and holiday weeks.

Keys and alarm codes are receipted in writing and stored separately from the address. If something needs moving, you get a reply within one business day.

Why does a day-care centre make special demands on hygiene?

Because small children touch everything and then put their hands in their mouths. The Danish Health Authority’s hygiene handbook for day-care facilities names toilets, changing stations, toys and the kitchen as the critical areas, and it advises against cleaning agents in spray bottles, because the mist irritates the airways, especially in children with asthma. Our plan follows the same priority: toilets, changing stations and contact surfaces at child height are cleaned at every visit, not on rotation.

Who is the agreement for?

Private day-care institutions, private and independent schools, and private care homes that choose their own cleaning contractor. Municipal schools and day-care centres typically get their cleaning through the municipality’s tenders, where many addresses are bundled into one contract. If you choose the supplier yourselves, it starts with a walkthrough of the building and a fixed quote in writing within 24 hours.

What does institution cleaning cost?

A fixed agreement starts from 270 DKK per hour ex. VAT, and one-off jobs such as a deep clean in a holiday week from 320 DKK. After a walkthrough of the building you get a fixed monthly price with products and machines counted in. The price only changes if the job does, and always with a new written quote first.

When do you clean, when the building is full from morning to afternoon?

Outside opening hours, in the evening once the last children have been picked up, or early in the morning before the staff arrive. The thorough tasks such as floor care and high surfaces we place on closing days, staff development days and holiday weeks, when the building stands empty anyway.

What do the rules say about børneattest for cleaning staff?

A børneattest, the Danish child protection certificate, is a legal requirement for cleaning staff with a fixed attachment to schools and day-care facilities, and the legislation names the role directly. It is ordered digitally from the police with the employee's consent. It covers sexual offences against children, while a general criminal record certificate is a separate document.

Which products do you use, where children touch everything?

Nordic Swan labelled products are our standard and are included in the price along with machines and consumables. If the institution requires perfume-free or allergy-labelled products, we write that requirement into the plan at the walkthrough, so it is down in writing from the first visit.

Is there any lock-in on the agreement?

No. The agreement can be cancelled with the current month plus one month's notice, and there are no start-up fees. We run quality checks on a fixed schedule, so the standard holds without a contract to hold on to you.
