What the price includes. The standard for move-out cleaning for businesses.

  • Floors stripped and washed according to floor type, including where the fixtures stood
  • Walls, door frames, mouldings and switches wiped clean of marks, tape and stickers
  • Kitchenette and canteen cleaned, fridge, oven and cupboards inside as well
  • Toilets and bathrooms descaled and disinfected
  • Windows polished on the inside, and frames and rebates wiped down
  • Radiators, ventilation grilles and taps dusted

Empty commercial premises look worse than furnished ones. Once the shelving and desks have been carted out, the dust lies in stripes where the furniture stood, and the marks on the walls are the first thing the landlord sees.

How does a move-out clean of commercial premises work?

We start with a walkthrough of the premises, and within 24 hours after it you have a total price in writing. If your lease sets specific requirements for the handover, bring them along. The quote is written for the job we agree on, and the price only changes if the job does. We set the date together, so the cleaning falls between the last removal load and the handover.

What does the landlord look for?

The things nobody has touched in years. The tops of door frames, the ventilation grilles, the grouting behind the toilet, the edge under the window board and the floor in the corner where the filing cabinet has stood since move-in. If tradespeople have been in the premises, construction dust settles in the same places and stays there long after the room looks clean. That is why those points come last in the plan, so the premises stand ready for the handover and any move-out inspection.

What does move-out cleaning of commercial premises cost?

Move-out cleaning of commercial premises costs from 320 DKK per hour ex. VAT, with a minimum of 3 hours per job. After a walkthrough of the premises you get a total price in writing within 24 hours. Products and machines are included, and the price only changes if the job does.

When should the cleaning take place relative to the handover?

After the last removal load and before the handover. Danish commercial tenancy law requires the premises to be vacated by 12 noon on the move-out day, so the date is planned backwards from there. Book it as soon as your moving date is set.

How clean must commercial premises be at handover?

The law says the same condition as at takeover, apart from ordinary wear and tear. Your lease may set its own handover requirements, so read its section on moving out. If it demands more than cleaning, for example painting or floor sanding, that is a different job from ours.

How long can the landlord raise claims after the handover?

Four weeks, as a starting point. Under Danish commercial tenancy law the landlord cannot raise claims about the condition of the premises later than four weeks after the move-out day, though your lease may set a different deadline.

Are we tied to anything?

No. A move-out clean is a single job at a fixed price, and it ends once the work is handed over. If you later choose a regular agreement at the new address, it can be cancelled with the current month plus one month's notice.
